Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch plans after subscribing?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
Do you offer institutional or group subscriptions?
Yes. We offer discounted group plans for newsrooms, universities, and civil society organisations. Contact members@theprovidencenews.com for a quote.
Can I get a refund?
We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first payment if you are not satisfied. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
Is my membership tax-deductible?
The Providence News is a for-profit company. Membership payments are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible in most jurisdictions. Please consult a tax adviser for your specific situation.
What happens to my subscription if The Providence News closes?
In the unlikely event that we cease operations, we will notify all active members at least 60 days in advance and issue pro-rated refunds for unused subscription periods.
